SEAN HANNA FOUNDATION HOSTS FIRST ANNUAL 5K
Inaugural run for charity a great success

September 2008 - Even in the ironic wake of Hurricane Hanna, The Sean Hanna Foundation's First Annual 5k race for charity saw over 300 registered runners and nearly 100 volunteers and supporters. The USATF sanctioned event included a competitive run along with a dj, moonwalk, food, contests, and giveaways.

Director of Corporate Partnerships Luke Hartmann was extremely proud of the event's success, "not only did we receive support from so many runners and volunteers, but a lot of businesses really stepped up and donated money, products or services. Without the support of our runners, volunteers and corporate partners this event would never have happened." Among the businesses offering their support were the Platinum Sponsor Prudential who matched the event's proceeds. Also showing their support were A&P, Wegmans, Red Bull, Central Jersey Pro Shot, McCormick and Schmidt, Macy's, Toys R' Us, Shop Rite of Bound Brook, Target of Bridgewater, Grace Alliance Church, Revlon and the River Road Rescue Squad.

"We were really overwhelmed with support especially because we planned this event and unfortunately there were reports that we were in the path of a hurricane. Although it tested everyone's resolve it really showed how important this foundation and it's cause is to all of our supporters. We really look forward to many more fun events that allow us to continue providing our services," said Hartmann.
