The Sean Hanna Foundation is a public charity registered
in New Jersey, exempt from federal income tax and can receive tax
deductible donations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue
Code. Our aim is to ease the burdens of patients suffering from
childhood cancers and their families in honor of the life of its
namesake, Sean Hanna.
The Foundation
provides funds for medical treatment related expenses, such as
travel and counseling services. We also provide bereavement funds
and support in the tragic event that a child does pass away from
cancer or its complications. In addition, the Foundation provides
undergraduate scholarships to patients and their siblings who,
like Sean, live their lives to the fullest despite dealing with
a serious chronic illness.
The Sean Hanna Foundation intends to expand its scope internationally
and this year will begin providing seed funding for pediatric
oncology research at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
with the determination that we will one day find a cure and end
the suffering forever.
